Afflicted, storm-tossed and not comforted….
There are all sorts of reasons why fiery trials derail our relationship with God and with others.
Intense suffering can leave us feeling isolated or misunderstood.
We can feel disconnected from the Lord who is our Rock and Refuge.
Yet suffering is often the first time in our lives when we notice our neediness: we aren't built to manage alone; we live every moment before the face of a kind and compassionate God who is more ready to hear our cries than we are to utter them.
I’ve walked alongside women who are under the care of a G.P. or secular psychologist and I can assist pastors who are giving pastoral advice to their female members.
I have regular supervision sessions with a qualified psychologist who is also an experienced Biblical counsellor.
